Accommodation in the Daintree rainforest

cassowaries walk around your bungalow

Daintree accommodation is different from other accommodation in Queensland.
Nestled deep in the ancient Daintree rainforest, we offer unique self contained accommodation in Cape Tribulation, with open air bathrooms and BBQ cooking facilities.
Everything here is owner built, owner managed, and has a unique artistic touch to it.
This is true eco-accommodation, designed to use a minimum of energy, and using local materials where ever possible.
The accommodation is limited to only two rooms, so peace and quiet and personal attention from your hosts is assured with only four guests.
We are also booking agents for the Daintree Jungle Treehouse, for those who like their accommodation even more adventurous and immersed in nature, ideal for those who like self contained accommodation with cooking facilities.
The drive to get here is an enjoyable adventure in itself, we are at the end of the scenic Great Barrier Reef Drive that runs 140 km. from Cairns to Cape Tribulation, hugging deserted beaches and two World Heriitage Areas with spectacular ocean views.

So many tours and things to do in the Daintree

local tours and activities

The Daintree is a very special place where the two World Heritage Areas of the Daintree National Park and the Great Barrier Reef lay side by side, and our accommodation lies right in the middle of it all, giving direct access to many exciting activities and things to explore.
Trained knowledgable tour guides can take on guided walks in the Daintree rainforest that surrounds your accommodation, and just down the street is the beach where you can go sea kayaking and hop on a boat for a snorkel tour on the Great Barrier Reef.
Other tours include horse riding through forest and on the beach, fourwheel drive tours up the famous Bloomfield Track, exotic fruit tasting, crocodile spotting and jungle surfing!
Nearly all tours do free pickups from Cape Tribulation accommodation, if you stay at other accommodation around the Daintree you will have to make your own way to Cape Tribulation.

See the rainforest sculpture trail

sculptures on the trails

After building one of the most unique Daintree accommodation places, the owner continued his creative work and created many sculptures on the trails that wind around the five acres of privately owned rainforest.
While staying here, make sure you allow enough time to explore the trails, and relax on the seats scattered through the forest, especially by the beautiful rainforest stream that passes through the property.
Relax, unwind, and don't forget your camera.
